A Slimming Summer

Preparing yourself for the warm to hit? You’re not the only one. This summer make a commitment to yourself to not only stay physically fit but to take precautions about what you are consuming as well. Many students’ summers consist of barbecues, the lake, restaurants, and of course alcohol.

This summer make it a challenge to have fun but to have that fun as healthy as you can. When you go to a restaurant, be smart. Take a look at the healthy choices. Get water instead of soda, vegetables instead of fries, and grilled instead of fried. Enjoy dessert once in a while, but do not make it a habit. Split it with a friend, encouraging yourself not to eat the whole dessert.

Before you head to work, go for a 10 minute run in the morning just in case you are busy after work. Get up and do some yoga for a quick 30 minutes. Go for a bike ride with your family, or take a stroll around the park during lunch break. Staying active will encourage you to eat healthier and will help you really reach your goals during bikini season.
